21 January 2008. Monday. MRT Services between Pasir Ris to Tanah Merah not available.

I was one of the 57, 000 people affected by this. Like seriously, what a thing to start my Monday. Arrived at Tampines Interchange at 8.05am, and was shocked to know that MRT services in Pasir Ris, all up to Tanah Merah, not available due to some disruption.

I did not panic instead walked to the MRT Shuttle provided to Tanah Merah MRT, even that was packed with people! Like seriously. Hundreds of people were waiting for the shuttle. Just that took most of my time. Sent an sms to my colleague that I'll be damn late so at least she knows. This is the first time I've experienced such thing.

Hmm, in the end I was really late ... by 51 minutes! 9.51 am. I've always been punctual to work so it irritates me that I was late. Oh well, at least I had a reason. A few staff was also affected so it wasn't only me.

This experience taught me one thing ... that I am totally dependable on MRT for daily transport.
Taking cab is totally out of the point, ridiculously expensive. I rather be late than spend my money on cabs.

This day had been really tiring. Sigh.
