1st of September
It's 1st of September!!!Can't believe it. Almost 3/4 of the year 2007 had passed by ... so quickly. Compared to the olden days, during my parent's period, the time was longer. Seriously. They told me, and I think it's really true. But to think of it, I am very lucky and grateful to be born in an era where everything is developed.
Even so, I envy those who have 'kampungs' in Malaysia, or what. I can't live without the technology, but once in awhile, staying in a kampung relieves the stress. It's peaceful and quiet.
Great thing about living in Singapore is that, married couples won't have to fight every hari raya over which sides to go first. Due to it's small size. =)
For my family, we'll go to my dad's side first in the morning then will proceed to my mom's side (grandma's house) in the afternoon, around 1pm like that. It's a normal routine for us. My mom's family (including uncles, aunts n my cousins) will rent a bus to jalan-jalan together!!! I love the unity of my extended family.
Why am I talking about Hari Raya already? Haha. Fasting is just around the corner!!! Hmmm, i think it starts on the 13th of September. This year ... I want to do my part as a Muslim. Maybe I'll solat terawih @ masjid sometimes. I never did it before, so maybe this year ...
